This 2010 portrait was inspired by the sculptor’s hairdresser. It  focuses on the young woman’s long neck, slender form and the controlled, elegant movements she makes when working with hair. The multiple image of her stance, echoing that of a 1950s mannequin, is carved into her bobbed hair.
